Kalala Tanuvasa was selected as one of the umpires for the ICC EAP Women’s Qualifier round that was held in Vanuatu in September 2023. She was the first Samoan female to be selected.

A Regional Development Officer for Samoa Cricket by profession, Mrs. Tanuvasa was an active umpire for Samoa Cricket’s Development competitions as well as domestic competitions. In fact, she was one of the senior umpires in Samoa.

This is Mrs. Tanuasa’s first overseas international obligation. This opportunity will help enhance her capacity in the arena of umpiring. Samoa Cricket cherished the opportunity that help the development of umpires to uplift the development of cricket in Samoa.
